Tokai's Love Rock is their long-running Gibson Les Paul-style line, and this ALS-36 comes from the brand's Korean-made production run, alongside its usual Japanese-made models. Korean-production Love Rocks are typically identified by a 3-screw truss rod cover and a dimpled export headstock, both present on this one, and most, including this guitar, don't carry a serial number, unlike their Japanese-made counterparts.

It's a mahogany body with a flame maple cap, finished in Trans Black Flame Maple that lets the figuring show through. The maple neck has a U profile and a bolt-on joint, with an upper-access contoured heel cut for easier reach to the top frets, a genuine point of difference from the set-neck construction used on Tokai's standard Japanese-made Love Rocks. The fingerboard is rosewood with trapezoid inlays across 22 medium-jumbo frets.

It's loaded with two Tokai PAF-style humbuckers through the standard Gibson-style 2 volume/2 tone/3-way toggle layout, into a tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece.

Condition shows light scratches on the face and some surface scratching through the transparent finish. Hardware is fully functional and it's structurally sound.
