This Artisan/Gemeinhardt Model 325 14" viola is a student-to-intermediate stringed instrument outfit. A 14 inch viola is a standard fractional size ideal for younger or smaller student players (typically fitting children around 9–11 years old, or arm lengths of roughly 23–25 inches). This step-up instrument has a rich, full tone ideal for developing beginners ready to move beyond entry-level and introductory step-up instruments. Its traditional spirit varnish gives the viola a refined appearance that highlights the natural character of the spruce and maple, with genuine ebony fittings and an individually fitted bridge.

This viola is in very good condition and is ready to play right out of the case. The D, G, and C strings are D'Addario: Ascente, while the A string is Pirastro: Tonica (excellent quality strings for a small viola). The instrument is outfitted with a student level carbon fiber bow and Howard Core case. This shaped case has a thin plywood-reinforced foam shell, cordura cover with full-length music pocket and a plush-lined interior with instrument blanket. Two bow holders and an accessory pocket, zippered closure with latch, good strong hardware, backpack straps and shoulder rest pocket are included. All zippers are functional, as are the bow holders inside the case.
