For sale is a December 1979 Rhodes Seventy-Three Suitcase Piano in original, playable condition. This transition-era model pairs the Janus stereo system with an early Mark II cabinet. The piano is complete and includes the original 5-pin cable, sustain pedal, speaker cabinet, and aluminum legs. It remains almost entirely original and has not been modified. The only work done in the 20 years I’ve owned it was having two of the electrolytic transistors replaced by a qualified technician.

This is an honest, well-preserved instrument with normal cosmetic wear consistent with its age. The lid has several areas of Tolex wear, and the front speaker grille has a couple of small tears. Three of the four speakers are currently functioning; the fourth was tested and in need of repair or replacement. Otherwise, the piano is fully playable with good intonation and tone.
