JVC TT-71 Quartz Lock Direct Drive Motor Unit 1977-1984 Silver

For sale is a JVC TT-71 Quartz Lock Direct Drive turntable motor unit, the precision standalone drive unit used in the JVC QL-7 and suitable for installation in an appropriate original or custom plinth.

This is the desirable 120V / 60Hz U.S. version—not a Japanese-market 100V unit—so no step-down transformer is required for normal use in the United States.

The TT-71 is in very good cosmetic condition for its age and is operating properly. Both 33⅓ and 45 RPM have been tested, the quartz-lock system operates properly, and speed remains stable. A video demonstrating operation will be attached.

This listing is for the JVC TT-71 motor unit only. It is shown installed in its original JVC QL-7 plinth because I am keeping the motor safely mounted and protected until it is sold. The QL-7 plinth and dust cover shown in the photographs are NOT included and will be listed separately. No tonearm or cartridge is included. The TT-71 will be carefully removed from the plinth for shipment after the sale.
