Linn Sondek LP12 — Early Production, Serial #001203 — Lingo 4 / Rega RB330

For sale is a very early Linn Sondek LP12, serial number 001203, dating to approximately 1973. This is a genuine early-production LP12 with a great history and significant upgrades made over the years. Spent around $2,500 on upgrades in 2018 (can show invoice upon request.

The table was previously serviced and upgraded with the later Linn Valhalla power supply and motor, bringing the original deck up to a much more modern specification. It is currently fitted with a Linn Lingo 4 power supply and a Rega RB330 tonearm.

Current configuration

  • Linn Sondek LP12, serial #001203
  • Approx. 1973 production
  • Linn Lingo 4 power supply — serial #1467636
  • Rega RB330 tonearm
  • Rega Elys 2 moving-magnet cartridge
  • Previously upgraded with Linn Valhalla power supply and motor
  • Cambridge Audio Solo MM phono stage. (if you are not interested, let me know)

This is a particularly interesting LP12 for someone looking for an early example that has already benefited from substantial modernization. The very low serial number makes it a considerably earlier deck than the majority of LP12s you'll encounter.

The turntable is being sold as a used vintage component, so it has the expected cosmetic signs of age and use. Please review the photos carefully for the exact condition.

A great opportunity to own a piece of Linn history with modern performance-oriented upgrades already in place.
