The 1957 Martin 5-18 is a vintage "terz" acoustic guitar featuring a tiny "Size 5" body, a spruce top, and a mahogany back and sides. It has a short scale length (around 21.4 inches or 545 mm) and is traditionally tuned a minor third higher than standard (G to G)
- Body Size: Size 5 (the smallest regular production size Martin made)
- Top Wood: Spruce
- Back and Sides: Mahogany
- Neck: Mahogany with a small profile
- Fingerboard & Bridge: Brazilian rosewood
- The Bridge has been replaced with a new Brazilian Wood Bridge
