The Korg MPC-0EX is a ROM data memory card containing the factory preset sounds for the Korg M1 EX and M1R EX synthesizers.  As an expansion of the original M1 series, the EX versions utilized this card to load 100 unique factory sound programs and combinations that leveraged new PCM waveforms not found in the standard M1. 

US 110V Version but comes with UK step down 240-110V transformer so you can you can use this synth in many countries globally.

The Korg M1 EX is an expanded version of the legendary Korg M1 music workstation, released in the late 1980s and early 1990s.  It is distinguished by its doubled PCM waveform memory (8MB vs. the standard M1's 4MB), which includes the complete sound library of the later Korg T-series synthesizers. 

The M1EX utilizes Korg's AI (Artificial Intelligence) Synthesis system, combining sampled waveforms with digital synthesis to create realistic instruments and unique textures.  The "EX" designation specifically indicates the inclusion of the EXK-M1 expansion ROM internally.  This provides access to approximately 275 multisampled sounds, including the famous T-series piano, organ, and drum samples (such as the 909-style kick and snare) that defined early 90s dance and pop music.  While the standard M1 requires a physical ROM card for these extra waveforms, the M1EX has them built-in.
