Made in Chicago in the 50s, this vintage Harmony Patrician (Model H1407) is a gorgeous, auditorium-sized archtop acoustic guitar that perfectly captures mid-century American craftsmanship. In hand, the neck features a substantial, classic chunky "V-to-C" profile that gives it a solid, authentic vintage feel without feeling overly cumbersome. It plays remarkably well for an instrument of its age, with a comfortable action across the fretboard that makes both rhythm chording and old-school lead runs smooth and engaging. When strummed, the guitar barks with a punchy, mid-range forward tone and a naturally compressed acoustic projection. Its solid pressed spruce top and arched mahogany body deliver a warm, woody bite that is dry, articulate, and absolutely perfect for delta blues, traditional jazz, or roots music. Cosmetically, this guitar is in good used condition showing some scuffs and scratches around the body and neck, typical of a guitar made over 60 years ago.
