Selling my 1963 Gibson L-7 C. Purchased from Gary's Classic Guitars in Ohio three years ago. Features Venetian cutaway, Sunburst finish, Gorgeous Flamed Maple back, Light weight, Original single lined Kluson tuners, Brazilian Board, Stunning looking. Original hard case. Pick guard and DeArmond Rhythm Chief PU are recent additions - not original to guitar. Tone and volume knob under the pick guard. The frets are stainless steel and were lovingly installed by legendary luthier, Kenny Marshall (Virginia). This is a fine playing and excellent sounding instrument, Very good to excellent condition.
Essentially an economy version of the L-5. Similar specs but less expensive appointments.Gibson was trying to appeal to the working musician with a more affordable archtop jazz guitar. I believe it was about half the price of an L-5.
Partial specs:
17” body
3 1/3” deep
25 ½” scale
Double parallel position markers
Spruce top
Maple sides and back
Maple neck
Rosewood finger board
