The Steinberg UR44C scales up the UR-C series for small ensembles and busier sessions, with six analog inputs and four analog outputs built around four Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps. Two combo inputs handle mic or line signals, two more add Hi-Z switching for instruments, and a pair of rear line inputs give you room to bring in more sources without running out of channels, all recording and playing back at up to 32-bit/192kHz.

A custom SSP3 DSP chip drives onboard, zero-latency effects processing, including REV-X reverb, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and Guitar Amp Classics amp and cabinet modeling, all controlled through the bundled dspMixFx software. Two independent headphone outputs with their own level controls mean a performer and an engineer can dial in separate monitor mixes at the same time, and a dedicated DJ Mode adapts the interface for live mixing setups.

SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 over USB-C keeps the UR44C's extra channel count moving reliably to a Mac or PC, with MIDI In/Out for connecting keyboards and controllers directly. It ships with Steinberg's Cubase AI recording software and Cubasis LE for iPad, giving small studios, podcast setups and rehearsal spaces a complete multi-input recording rig in one box.
