The Steinberg UR22C is a compact 2-in/2-out USB audio interface built around two Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps, the same preamp design Steinberg developed with Yamaha for pristine, low-noise signal capture. Both combo inputs accept mic, line or Hi-Z sources, so you can plug in a condenser mic and a guitar or bass without swapping cables mid-session, and the interface records and plays back at up to 32-bit/192kHz.

A custom SSP3 DSP chip runs onboard effects with zero added latency, including REV-X reverb, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and Guitar Amp Classics amp and cabinet simulations. The bundled dspMixFx software puts full control over the DSP mixer and effects on screen, so you can monitor yourself through reverb or a modeled amp tone while you record, with no plugin-induced delay.

SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 over a USB-C connector keeps data moving reliably to a Mac or PC, with backward compatibility for USB 2.0 ports, and the UR22C also works with compatible iPad models for mobile recording rigs. It ships with Steinberg's Cubase AI recording software and Cubasis LE for iPad, giving you a complete record-and-mix starting point right out of the box.
