1998 Gibson Les Paul Special in Cherry, made at the Nashville, TN plant. Serial #90208349.
This guitar has a P-100 neck pickup and P-90 bridge pickup.
On August 15, 2024, it received extensive professional service at Mad Scientist Guitar Shop, including a full level, recrown and polish of the factory frets, tuner polish and lubrication, nut slot cleaning, bridge and saddle cleaning, full electronics check and cleaning, new .009 strings and a full setup. A new tailpiece, mounts/posts, pickguard, truss rod cover and switch ring were also installed.
I’ve only played the guitar once since having this work done.
The guitar has some normal mild play wear consistent with its age, but is in very good overall condition. A previous owner removed the Les Paul Special decal from the headstock, which is reflected in the photos.
I’m selling it simply because I’m not playing it.
It will come in an older hardshell Les Paul case for protection. The pink-lined Gibson case shown in some of the photos is NOT included.
