Studio Electronics ATC-1 Analog Synthesizer – Classic Mini/Moog Filter Cartridge

For sale is a Studio Electronics ATC-1, a powerful vintage rackmount monophonic analog synthesizer known for its huge basses, leads and classic analog character.

The ATC-1 features two true analog voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) and uses interchangeable analog filter cartridges. This unit comes with the MINI filter cartridge, Studio Electronics’ recreation of the classic 24 dB/octave Moog-style transistor-ladder filter.

The ATC-1 offers an impressive analog architecture with extensive digital control and patch memory:

• MINI/Moog-style 24 dB resonant low-pass filter cartridge

One of the most interesting features of the ATC series is the interchangeable filter system. Studio Electronics produced MINI, SEM, TB-303 and ARP 2600-style filter cartridges, allowing the character of the synthesizer to be changed at the hardware level.

The ATC-1 has a reputation for particularly powerful analog bass sounds, but it is equally capable of leads, sequences, effects and experimental analog sounds.
