Class D power supplies made high-power portable bass amplifiers a reality years ago, and Italy-based GR Bass has taken that idea to a new level with the AT Cube Carbon Fiber series. Weighing in at only 20 pounds, the GR Bass AT Cube 800 delivers 450 watts into a single 8-ohm 12-inch SICA neodymium speaker and an adjustable 1-inch horn driver. Its extremely stiff carbon fiber ported enclosure helps keep the energy focused on the music instead of flexing the cabinet, resulting in excellent efficiency, punch, and responsiveness. An extension speaker jack is included, and while the AT Cube 800 will drive down to 2 ohms, GR Bass does not recommend doing so at high volumes for long periods of time. When using a second cabinet, we advise choosing one rated at 8 ohms or higher.

The GR Bass AT Cube 800 is more than just space-age materials. Its fully featured control panel includes gain and master volume controls, a 4-band EQ with selectable midpoints, and bright and deep switches. Convenience features include a headphone output, aux input, DI output with variable level, built-in tuner, effects loop, and extension speaker output.
