A great example of one of Gibson’s most stripped-down and effective designs: a 2019 Gibson SG Junior in Vintage Cherry, complete with its original Gibson hardshell case.

There is something especially good about the simplicity of an SG Junior. One mahogany body, one mahogany neck, one dogear P-90, a wraparound bridge, and volume and tone controls. That is essentially the entire recipe. Gibson brought this version back with an early-'60s-inspired design, including the sharp body beveling, Vintage Cherry nitrocellulose finish, Vintage Deluxe tuners and compensated wraparound bridge.

At the heart of it is the single dogear P-90, paired with one volume and one tone control. The tone pot has been replaced with a high-quality upgraded potentiometer and upgraded capacitor. It is a tasteful modification to an already extremely simple circuit, and the work is shown clearly in the photos.

The guitar is in very good overall condition. It has definitely been played and there are assorted surface scratches, small dents and handling marks throughout, several of which are shown closely in the photos. Importantly, there is no major finish loss or significant damage. The Cherry nitro still has a beautiful gloss and the guitar presents extremely well overall.

The frets are especially nice for a used example, showing minimal wear with plenty of life remaining. I would rate the fret condition approximately 9.6/10.

It has just been cleaned, restrung and professionally set up and is playing great with comfortable action.

The original brown Gibson hardshell case is included and is also in very nice overall condition.
