JBL SR4718X Early 2000s - Black

This is a matched pair of JBL SR 4718x (Serial #'s 01218 and 01234) loaded with their original, factory -4- Ohm, 18inch JBL 2241G drivers. The orange, JBL nameplate is missing, the grills have a few tiny rust spots but overall, are in very good shape. The grills are supported by large rubber stoppers to prevent the grills from being dented inward and allows the full excursion of the driver from ever touching the grill. (There are some small spots of rust on the grills here and there but I can fix those before you arrive.) There are large, Rhombus 5.5" total swivel, total lock brake casters mounted directly to the back of each cabinet. When encountering rough travel surfaces and severe truck bumps, this backside mounting of the casters allows the excursion of the driver's cone to maintain the correct alignment of the voice coil so there's no chance of damage due to shock-caused misalignment. The rear connectors are 4 pole Neutrik Speakon panel jacks. (Important note: The two connectors can be daisy chained in parallel but this is not advisable due to splitting the initial -4- Ohm load (reducing it to -2- Ohms) will very likely burn up your amp, speakers or both.) They have been stored, unused in my basement for the last 20 years, so there is some corrosion on the Speakon terminals which I've sprayed with Deoxit and there is significant corrosion on the casters. I sold off my amplifier racks years ago so you'll need to bring a power amp with you to check them out.
