Barely broken in and ready for its next drummer — this is Roland's TD-713, the entry point into their flagship 7 Series V-Drums line, and it plays every bit as good as it looks. I picked this up at the beginning of February and it's seen light use since, so you're getting essentially a brand-new kit at a fraction of the "just unboxed" price.
What sets the TD-713 apart from Roland's older TD-17/TD-27 kits is the jump in realism. The digital snare is the star of the show — it responds like a real acoustic snare, complete with a throw-off you can flip to switch between virtual snare voicings on the fly. The toms use Roland's well-loved PDX-100 mesh pads, which have a natural bounce and stick response that makes hours of practice feel effortless rather than fatiguing. Hi-hat, crash x2, and ride all run through Roland's digital pad design as well, giving you far more nuanced cymbal articulation (bell, edge, choke, swell) than you'd get from older rubber-pad setups.
Driving it all is the V71 sound module — Roland's newest brain for the 7 Series — loaded with 200 kit presets and over 1,000 additional sounds to build your own from scratch. It also unlocks access to the DW Soundworks VST plugin and Roland's V-Edit software, so you can dial in tones on your computer and get genuinely studio-grade drum sounds through headphones or direct out. Whether you're practicing quietly at 11pm, gigging somewhere that needs a silent stage, or recording direct into a DAW, this kit is built to handle it without sacrificing feel.
You're getting the complete setup here: the 14" digital snare, 12" kick tower, four 10" PDX-100 tom pads, 14" hi-hat, 14"/16" crash pads, 18" ride, the V71 module, the rack, plus the kick pedal and drum throne — basically everything you need to sit down and play, no extra purchases required. The only thing missing is the original packaging, everything else is here and in excellent shape.
Great option for anyone who wants flagship-level playing feel and sound without stepping all the way up to the TD-716/VAD716 price point. Message with any questions — happy to send more photos or answer specifics on the setup.
