All Original!
Buyer, please be aware: These early πΊππππ π²ππππ made Telecaster FMTs are very well built, and of slightly higher quality than the ones that came later when their manufacturing was moved to Indonesia.
There are no dings that I could find anywhere on the body or the neck. Honestly, the finish appears nearly pristine. Upon very close inspection, I could find no dings at all; and any surface scuffs that I could see are barely visible.
NECK PICKUP
The Fender Black Canyon neck humbucker is a sweet-sounding pickup halfway between a Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro and a 59. It tends to lean on the Alnico II Pro side for its warm cleans and thick overdrive. The Black Canyon pickup is quite rare and highly sought after. To my ear it has a warm, jazzy tone that's not muddy sounding at all. A very pleasant tone, I would say.
DC Resistance: 8.4K
Inductance: 5.2 Henries
Magnet: Alnico II
BRIDGE PICKUP
The Fender Atomic II bridge humbucker is a powerful pickup with plenty of bite - essentially an equivalent to the Seymour Duncan JB - but manages to keep some of that Fender clarity and doesn't have a harsh mid spike, instead balancing them nicely.
DC Resistance: 16.4K
Inductance: 8.5 Henries
Magnet: Alnico V

The 2016 Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH made in South Korea is a truly high-end, albeit very reasonably priced, limited-edition electric guitar that deviates from standard Telecaster designs by featuring a set mahogany neck and dual humbucking pickups. It is distinguished by its Amber finish with a matching headstock, cream body binding, and a carved flame maple top on a solid mahogany body. This guitar also features a push/pull coil-tap switch on the tone knob to split the humbuckers for single-coil tones.
Key specifications for the Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH include:
- Body: Solid mahogany with a carved flame maple top and cream binding.
- Neck: Glued-in mahogany set neck with a Modern "C" profile.
- Fingerboard: Indian Rosewood with abalone dot inlays.
- Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm).
- Number of Frets: 22 with jumbo frets.
- Nut: Graphite nut with a width of 1.625" (41.3 mm).
- Hardware: Black nickel hardware, standard cast/sealed tuning machines, and a 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail bridge.
- Controls: Master volume and master tone (with push/pull coil tap) and a 3-way toggle pickup switch.
- Finish: Gloss polyurethane in Amber.
I had noticed that the strings had become pretty gross, so I removed them, cleaned and oiled the fretboard, and installed a new set of strings - Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (.010)
Fender hard case included with your purchase (shown).
