Important!  The hard Pelican style case is NOT included with the sale UNLESS you specify you wish to have the case instead of the original packaging.  Take your pick how you prefer to receive the V4, new tubes, and FSW…in original box/packaging or in the waterproof, lockable hard shell case, not both.  If you plan to gig this often or use it in a Fly Rig, the Pelican style case is a no brainer. If you are using this locally or mostly at home or your home studio, perhaps the original packaging is nice to have. The size of the shipping box needed for both original packaging and the Pelican style case would significantly increase the cost of shipping, making it cost prohibitive. FYI...the case was purchased at Harbor Freight.

This has been used almost exclusively in my home studio area as a practice rig, never gigged. It has only left my home 2-3x to use at a rehearsal studio.

I purchased a new, open box demo V4 Duchess in December of 2025. A few months later I realized it didn't seem to be as loud as it should be for 90w through either of my 8ohm cabinets so I spoke with tech support and explained what I was hearing. Two days later I was told I would be getting a brand new replacement V4 Duchess sent to me under warranty. When the new unit arrived my suspicions were validated....the new one was LOUD as hell! So the unit for sale here was a brand new V4 shipped to me in Feb, 2026.

Being the nut job that I am, I sort of worried about access to new tubes should there ever be an issue so I emailed Victory Amplification and purchased a complete set of new, matched, fully tested tubes which you see in the pics.

I made a pretty bold claim about the built in reverb on this amp (I'm 62 and have owned a LOT of amps) but it truly is an absolutely gorgeous sounding reverb! If you just want to add space and extra size to your sound anywhere up to 1-2 o'clock will do it. If you need to get into lush, ambient tones that Strymon and Robert Keeley would approve of, 3 o'clock on will deliver absolutely beautiful, lush ambient tones.

NOTE ON THE FOOT SWITCH: These V4 Amps do not come with a foot switch (at least the Duchess doesn't) so I managed to find a Victory dual foot switch on closeout at an online vendor. This foot switch I believe is for a Sheriff and Super Sheriff amp but it's a standard tip/sleeve type dual function switch that works exactly as it should with the V4 with the only caveat being the switch labels don't match the function on the Duchess. The left switch operates the tremolo and right switch operates the reverb. As you can see in the pics, I've used low tack tape over the original switch labels to indicate Trem and Reverb.

Important: The foot switch will NOT ship in the original FSW box. It will be safely wrapped and protected but ship with the V4 in whichever packaging option you choose.

The Duchess V4 is a powerful, ultra compact amplifier. It has four valves in the front end, 180-watt power section, reverb and tremolo. Now it has been updated to include Two notes audio engineering Torpedo-embedded DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology, headphone out and our Valve Response Circuit VRC (™) technology.

The Duchess is all about vintage-style American cleans and British break-up. It’s a single channel amp perfect on a small cab or desktop, or for touring musicians who need a great-sounding, dependable pedal platform amp.

Volume & Master

Balance the front end preamp gain with the overall volume output. It will overdrive in the preamp slightly should you want that, but the main goal is higher-headroom tones and power.

Three-Band EQ

Powerful bass, middle and treble controls to shape your tone. These also have an effect on the gain character and drive levels – just like in any valve guitar amp.

Reverb

Lush sounding digital reverb gives you ambience aplenty. Run it low for a subtle feeling of space, or max it out for washy, splashy hugeness!

Tremolo

From slow and pulsing to fast and staccato, we’re suckers one of the oldest effects in the book.Turn it on/off on the chassis, or remotely.

Series Effects Loop

Sits between the preamp and power amp. Run your time-based effects here for maximum clarity.

Two notes Technology

Two notes Audio engineering Torpedo-embedded DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology is onboard the Duchess. The Cab Sim XLR makes it super easy to take you Victory virtual cabinets anywhere. The presets have been created by Pete Honore for the Duchess.

The Two notes Cab sim signal can be routed to the line out and XLR or just the XLR.

Balanced Line Out and Headphone Out

Send a direct feed to a separate speaker simulator, front of house or wherever you like. Can be used with or without a speaker connected. The inbuilt headphone output makes silent practice quick and easy.

9V DC Power Output

Want to power some extra pedals and stick this on your board? We’ve included a 9V DC centre-negative output that will put out a maximum of 500mA. This is more than enough for the vast majority of drives, fuzzes and analogue delays and so on.

Two notes Technology

We have partnered with the incredibly talented folks at Two notes Audio Engineering to embed their incredible tech in our V4 Duchess Guitar amp.

Straight out of the box you have access to six presets created by Victory artist Pete Honore. These have been specifically created by Pete for the V4 Duchess guitar amp. There are ten Victory virtual cabinets included with the amp and a collection of microphones and positions to choose and build your own presets. All this can be accessed by plugging the V4 Duchess guitar amp into your computer, via Torpedo Remote (download for free from the Two notes website) – this is also where you access the power amp modes, rooms, studio-grade EQ and audio enhancer. Register your device with Two notes to gain access to a further two Two notes DynIR cabs.
