The Realistic Model 12-1928A (Catalog Number 12-1928) is a vintage mini-size in-dash AM/FM stereo cassette car radio sold by RadioShack in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was designed as a compact, low-cost audio upgrade to fit the dash of most classic or older vehicles.
Back in 1988, this was Realistic's 2nd best car cassette radio. It cost $89.95, equivalent to over $250 in today's money.
This unit is brand new - box was opened to inspect content, but functionality has not been verified. We assume that at a minimum, it will require new belts to operate properly.
It contains all the original accessories sealed in their original plastic bags, including:
- 2 face plates (narrow and wide)
- Wiring harness
- Cassette well adapter
- 4 knobs
- Support bracket
- Adjustment rod
- Manual is not included.
Box shows some signs of age, but is in very good condition overall and includes the original Styrofoam inserts. See high resolution photos for condition.
