Selling a Korg 01/fwd. This is literally 2 Korg m1's in one machine (more accurately, it's twice the technical spec) has 8 timbres, 32 voices and a Wavetable synthesis system. Because of that I think a lot of people are really sleeping on this wonderful machine and that it will probably pick up in the future. Check out the link showing the rack version if you want to see what this is capable of.

You might be able to find a slightly cheaper unit elsewhere, but considering the following I think it's a more than fair price:

- The unit has been ~fully~ serviced (including things that many technicians would skip)
- That the shipping will be cheaper than, I.e., buying from Japan 90% of the time.

- Accessories included

Service work done:

- CR3032 internal battery replacement
- Recapped the PSU with high quality components (these are known to fail often)
- Screen has been replaced with high quality LCD

- Inside of case cleaned, buttons sprayed and serviced Etc.

- I'll include a detailed write-up with everything I did.

!!Important note!! If you would like ~even~ more servicing/mods:

If you are outside of Australia be aware that this is 240v! You will therefore either (a) need a step up transformer, or (b) if you know what you are doing, convert the power supply.

If you are O.K. with a lead time of [*at most] 2 weeks after the purchase and you would like me to convert the power supply for you I will do this only for what it costs me to source a typical Meanwell power supply + 3 man hours (~extra $200 AUD) which is way cheaper than any technician would charge! Just tell me before placing the order. This would double as a nice upgrade as well seeing as there is some audible hum / coil whine which is typical of older PSU's.

If you would also like a GOTEK installed instead of the default floppy reader, I'd be happy to do that for ~extra $90 AUD.

If you do both together I will charge ~$250 flat AUD extra and I will strive to get you the cheapest shipping possible. Well I do that anyways. But I'll try extra hard. These prices are not set in stone, but the idea is that I would do it for next to nothing. I just don't want to loose money or (make a very tiny bit extra.)

All in all, this is a steal! consider the following:

- That buying the exact same cheapest unit from Japan would probably end up costing you the same amount with more expensive shipping.

- Even then you would likely not get a unit treated as well as this one.
- AND the unit would be unserviced, potentially on it's last legs, because these are 35 years old now!
- All this assumes you have all the equipment & skills already and then you'd have to wait for all the parts to arrive and take the time to do it all yourself!

So I think all things considered it's a very good deal. You get a studio workhorse that requires nothing for decades.

Shipping

Please note: on this item there will be a week to week and a half lead time from the time the order is placed. Because it's a heavier item (14kg) I'll have to arrange pickup with a custom carrier.

I will ship to anywhere in the world. The shipping price I've listed is basically a slightly optimistic estimate for shipping to the U.S or Europe. I'd encourage you to shoot me a message if you're wondering about the logistics of getting the unit or the shipping cost! Typically when I sell on reverb, Ebay Etc. I eat a lot of the shipping cost which I'll be willing to do, so rest assured you're getting a good deal.

Condition

I've marked the condition as excellent. There's no aesthetic damage, I've been using it for a few days recently without any issues whatsoever, it's been fully serviced and finally all the keys work and feel extremely responsive.

Note: the picture of the screen is before the replacement. It's in storage at the moment so I will happily get it out and send photos upon request.
