Description

Up for sale is a Fostex X-15 Series II 4-Track Multitracker Cassette Recorder, one of the most popular portable multitrack recorders ever produced.

The unit has been cleaned, serviced, and fitted with a new drive belt. It has been tested, and a demonstration video was recorded showing its operation.

Playback, fast forward, rewind, stop, pause, recording functions, VU meters, transport controls, and pitch control were tested and are working during my testing.

Because this is vintage electronic equipment, I cannot guarantee long-term reliability. Additional calibration or future maintenance may eventually be required due to age.

Service Performed

Cosmetic Condition

Overall, the recorder is in very nice cosmetic condition for its age.

Normal signs of use are present including:

• Minor scratches
• Light scuffs
• Small paint wear
• Normal cosmetic wear from age

The red cassette door is in very nice condition.

Original Box Included

The original Fostex factory box is included.

Please note:

• The box shows heavy storage wear.
• There are tears, dents, crushed corners, tape residue, discoloration, and other cosmetic damage.
• The box should be considered a collectible accessory only and is not in display-quality condition.

Power Adapter

A power adapter is included.

Please note that the power adapter is NOT the original Fostex adapter.

It is a compatible replacement power supply that was used during testing.
