OK. So I bought this body on Reverb not too long ago. The original color was "Medium Palomino Metallic" and looked 15 years old. I wasn't crazy about the color, so I had it repainted "Gibson Gold Top Gold" nitrocellulose lacquer. All of the cosmetic blemishes that could be seen when the guitar is fully playable have been filled and smoothed.
If you look closely at some of the cavities, you can see the old gold paint. I always wanted to make a dream Strat with my favorite color. I'd rather not part with this, but some unexpected costs have arisen. Have you checked how expensive car batteries are? Wow.
OK, I included some screen shots from my research on fender serial number lookup. This is everything I know about the guitar body. I did not get a certificate of authenticity.
Look at the last two pics. That's the body how I got it. It's somewhat easier to see the barcode in the neck pickup cavity. Unfortunately, the stickers in the cavities are now painted over. I have discounted the price when compared with others. Although the others aren't this beautiful color!
I am including the bridge and trem claw, the strap buttons, and the Eric Johnson neck plate.
