This 2020 player Stratocaster HSS has been heavily modified to resemble the early 80s Steve Lukather Valley Arts guitar. Upgrades to this guitar include an EMG SL20 loaded pickguard, Fender deluxe locking tuners, Graphtech String Saver Classic saddles, and Dunlop Straplocks. I am hooked on the string savers. I am fairly certain the are the most under appreciated upgrade you can make to a strat. The final product is a killer strat with a tone of versatility. The only reason I’m letting this go is because I came across a great deal on the pickguard and it led me down the project path, but I already had another strat with the exact same electronics setup. I just don’t need 2 of them. Overall it’s in excellent condition, although there is a thin scratch, and a handful of scuff marks on the very bottom edge of the guitar, around the strap button. I tried to include pictures of this area.

I’ve been around guitars long enough to know I’m not going to get my money back out of this project, but I’m in no rush to sell, so I’ll be patient with pricing. The reality is I have close to $1100 in this one, and that was getting the guitar itself used at 625. The upgraded components are worth about $450 combined. The original Fender gig bag is included.
