Yamaha Peter Erskine Custom Model MSD-10PE snare drum, made in Japan and serial/production No. 0540. This is a discontinued Yamaha signature model designed for Peter Erskine, featuring a compact 10" × 4" wood shell and an attached Yamaha YESS mounting system. The drum is complete with its Yamaha hardware, including the distinctive lugs, hoops, throw-off and Peter Erskine Custom Model badge. It is fully functional and makes a great compact auxiliary or effects snare.

Please note that this drum has significant cosmetic flaws, which are reflected in the price. The exterior wood finish has uneven coloration, staining/discoloration and areas of finish wear, while the chrome hardware has oxidation, rust spotting, pitting and general age-related wear. I purchased the drum in this condition and it was quite dirty when I received it; I have since cleaned it up. I removed the heads to inspect the shell, and the interior shell, plies and bearing edges appear solid with no obvious delamination or serious structural damage. Please look closely at all photos for condition. This is being sold as a cosmetically rough but functional Yamaha snare.
