Beautiful, great playing, great sounding early 1969 Les Paul Goldtop. A transitional guitar, this '69 has a ONE PIECE NECK, and long tenon, and one piece body, but the larger headstock associated with a later 1969. The pots are dated 1st week on 1969. And the guitar sports a "dark back" which is rare on these guitars. It also has the earlier "black" P90s used on the '68s, not the "clear plastic" P90s of the '69s. The guitar has been loved and played, and shows normal signs of a "giggin' guitar". There are no breaks or repairs, no overspray or refin, but its had other tuners (originals have been put back on), its been refretted (with correct large frets), and like many guitars in the 1970s its has black "shielding paint" applied in the routs. The knobs are original but have had the "reflector tops" popped out to look more like a '56. Just typical local repair guy stuff. Great neck, its straight and feels nice like a '59! Weighs 8.75 lbs. Comes with a 70's black Gibson Les Paul case.
