Lanikai Concert LQA-CCA Solid Spruce Top/ Quilt Ash A/E Cutaway Fishman Ukulele

This is great little Ukulele. Lanikai LQA-CCA Quilted Ash Solid Top with Fishman Pick up. Had a crack in the solid top that was professionally repaired (Cool story: Repaired by the same guy who repaired Tiny Tims ukulele after to was damaged when he died playing it on stage - No kidding). Anyway, I'd rather have a professionally repaired solid top than a laminate any day. While the luthier was at it he dressed the frets checked out all the electronics and set it up to play perfectly with new Martin strings.

What I love about this one is that it's older from when Lanikai was still made in Indonesia not China, the neck is a little bigger than most concert size and so comfortable. The sound is clear and bright plugged and unplugged and the volume and tone controls are discretely hidden in the sound hole not on a big plastic thing on the outside to ruin the amazing look of this Ukulele. The quilted ash looks amazing and the gold tuners really set it apart from the crowd. Yea, if the repaired crack and a few small dings bother you stay away, but if you're looking for tone, pro set up and a cool looking home and stage Ukulele this one will not disappoint. My playing on the sound sample might disappoint but the Ukulele will not.
