The Furman M-8S is a 15-amp rackmountable power conditioner and sequencer designed to protect valuable audio, video, and studio equipment from power surges and electrical noise. Its defining feature is power sequencing, which staggers the power-up and power-down of connected devices. • Outlet Configuration: 9 total NEMA 5-15 outlets. It includes 6 sequenced rear outlets (split into 3 delayed banks), 2 unswitched rear outlets, and 1 unswitched front convenience outlet.
• Power Capacity: Handles up to a 15-amp total load at 120V AC with a built-in thermal circuit breaker.
• Power Sequencing: Uses a timed delay to safely turn equipment on (source gear first, then amplifiers) and off in reverse order. Settings and potentiometer delay adjustments are managed via the rear panel.
• Power Purification: Standard Merit-class surge protection and RFI/EMI filtration that reduces radio frequency and electromagnetic interference by over 26dB.
• Remote Control Capability: Features a rear-panel Phoenix-style terminal block for executing momentary or maintained remote power-up sequences.
• Status Monitoring: Front-panel LED diagnostic lights display the active status of each outlet bank, "Protection OK", and power status.
