Swisher Desert Banshee 2026 - Huron Green

This is a right-handed solid-body electric guitar built from alder and finished in Huron Green, with the natural grain visible through the finish. It features a bolt on neck construction and a body thickness of 1.75 inches. The body was hand-shaped on a sander and finished with a ¼-inch round over along the entire edge. The guitar weighs a total of 6.4 pounds. The instrument uses a string-through-body design with a chrome Hipshot hardtail bridge, and all hardware is finished in chrome.

The pickup configuration includes a single coil in the neck position and a humbucker in the bridge position. Both pickups use Alnico 5 magnets. The neck pickup measures 6.5k and delivers a clear, clean tone on its own, while the bridge pickup measures 13.1k and produces a warm, gritty sound. The electronics are wired with one volume control, one tone control, and a three-way selector switch.

The neck is maple with a 9.5-inch radius and 22 frets, paired with a wenge fretboard and abalone position markers. It features a dual-action spoke-wheel truss rod located at the heel. Each neck is hand-carved to a “C” profile; this one measures .867" (22.02 mm) at the 1st fret and .891" (22.63 mm) at the 12th fret. From the back, the fretboard can be seen as part of the neck profile. The frets are medium nickel-silver, measuring .084" wide by .039" high.

The guitar is equipped with chrome Hipshot open-gear staggered inline tuners, and the nut was hand-shaped from bone.

My guitars are set up to play with great action. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. The string height at the 1st fret is .012” and at the 12th fret is .060”. You’ll notice how smooth they are right away.
