1930 OM-28, serial number 43666. This guitar, being nearly 100 years old at the time of publication, feels like a time machine. Minimal alterations and repairs: the top was refinished previously, the bridge was replaced by our staff with a period-correct piece, and the tuners were replaced with planetary banjo tuners. The original bar frets remain, yet another example of the magic that is the alchemy of time.

There is no doubt that Martin Guitars got it right pretty much from the start. This is the archetypal fingerstyle guitar. The passing of time has also left this instrument with a warmth and presence that cannot be replicated with technology.
