Up for sale is a brilliant piece of rock 'n' roll history: a rare, late-1980s Gibson U-2 Super Strat in a sleek factory black finish, hand-signed by legendary original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley.This instrument offers an incredible "two-for-one" value for vintage guitar collectors and die-hard KISS fans alike.
- The Look: It is a "stealth" autograph. Looking straight at the guitar, the signature blends into the dark finish. However, when you tilt the body into the light, the glare perfectly catches the texture of the ink, making the iconic autograph pop.
Because the signature is black-on-black and hard to see from a distance, I have priced this guitar very fairly. You are getting a rare, vintage USA Gibson and a genuine piece of KISS history without paying the massive premium of a bright silver-ink signature.
