Beautiful and exceptionally original 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in three-tone sunburst.
I purchased this guitar from Atlanta Vintage Guitars in 2012 and have owned it ever since. The guitar retains its original sunburst finish, original pickups and electronics/wiring, original hardware, tuners, bridge and tremolo system. It has never been refretted and has had no neck work or other modifications.
The only change is the installation of strap locks. The original strap buttons are included with the guitar.
Neck is dated “4 APR 65 B” and the neck plate carries L-series serial number L76493.
The guitar plays and sounds great, with both the lead and rhythm circuits, switches and controls functioning properly. It shows normal scuffs and play wear consistent with a 60+ year-old instrument, but no significant damage or repairs.
Includes the original Fender hardshell case and original tremolo arm.
A very clean, highly original example of a pre-CBS-era 1965 Jazzmaster that has been in my possession for the past 14 years.
