Fender Champ 1953 - Tweed
What story here! I bought from original owner along with a cool MOT lap steel while a UCLA student in 1972. RARE TRANSITION MODEL! Says "Champ", not "600" before later narrow panel design! A crazy GF put a hole in the speaker in the 1990's. I saw in Vintage Guitar Magazine about Gerald Weber creating the now famous Blackframe speaker line. I mailed it to him and he personally replaced the original 6" with his amazing 8" speaker and replaced the cord too with a 3 prong. Retubed 6 years ago...what beast, what a treasure! What a story!
