The is a rare and absolutely beautiful banjo. It is a custom-made banjo that was commissioned and delivered in 2008 by Chuck Ogsbury in Boulder Colorado; SN-5361. The gentleman who ordered it apparently decided to give up on banjo shortly after receiving it, and I purchased it from Janet Davis Music. It is a gold plated, heavily engraved open back banjo with a clip-on resonator so it serves as a clawhammer banjo and as a bluegrass banjo; it's great sounding either way! There is currently a fiber head on it for a more mellow sound which is how I play it. The wood is a high-grade curly maple. The tuners are the Rickard Cyclone 10:1 ratio geared tuners. There are railroad spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. It comes with a hardshell case.
I'm selling it because I have too many banjos and rarely play this one. I have another very fancy OME Millenium open back that I play ragtime on with nylon strings. Please give this unique banjo a look if you are interested in the highest quality materials and workmanship.
