This incredible, all original 1961 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Serial number - #137XX in Polar White, is beautifully aged with a warm patina finish accented by gold hardware.

The Gibson Les Paul Custom SG style guitar was only made from 1961-1963. This is your chance to own an incredible piece of music history.

This guitar features:

White Nitrocellulose finish with appropriate aging patina, gold hardware. Gold hardware shows normal wear and pitting which is typical of gold colored hardware. Beveled double cutaway style body, which later became known as the “SG." There is one small chip at the base of the bottom of the guitar. Several minor finish cracks are shown in the photos below.

Open book headstock with split diamond shape Mother of Pearl inlay. The 5 digit serial number is stamped on the back of the headstock.

Truss rod cover engraved “Les Paul” in fancy script - used in the early models.

Ebony Fingerboard, Mother of Pearl block inlay fret markers, 22 frets commonly referred to as “Fretless Wonder” frets.

White “Angel Wing” 3-ply pickguard with the “Les Paul Custom” piece at the top of pickguard between neck base and neck pickup. Longer shape 3-screw pickguard.

Grover Rotomatic tuners.

ABR TUNE-O-MATIC Bridge with metallic saddles.

Sideways vibrola tailpiece. 

Three original “PAF” humbucker pickups with sticker “Patent Applied For.".

Knobs and tone switch: 2 tone, 2 volume knobs, and 3-way switch, all fully functional.

Original hard shell case with purple lining in good vintage condition.
