The BOSS VO-1 Vocoder is a versatile and highly intuitive effects pedal that brings massive vocal-expression processing directly to guitarists, bassists, and other instrumentalists. By combining the complex formant characteristics of your voice with your instrument's signal, it allows you to easily produce electronic speech tones, classic synth textures, and talkbox effects without the physical hurdles of traditional setups. *Listing is for the pedal only. No box. No accessories.*

• Vintage Mode: Delivers the classic, gritty electronic synth-voice textures synonymous with retro funk and early electronic music.
• Advanced Mode: Employs cutting-edge BOSS guitar synth technology to deliver modernized vocoder tones with optimized clarity and speech definition.
• Talk Box Mode: Recreates authentic "talking lead guitar" tones. This gives you the iconic sound popularized by classic rock tracks without requiring any cumbersome plastic mouth tubes or dedicated secondary speaker amplifiers.
• Choir Mode: Generates rich, full choral ensembles and lush synthesizer pads directly from your instrument input. This is the only mode that does not require an external microphone to function.

• XLR Microphone Input: Features an onboard XLR preamp slot designed for dynamic microphones (no phantom power required). A toggle switch on the rear adapts the unit to high or low microphone input sensitivities.
• Instrument Agnostic: While optimized for electric guitars, its digital processing beautifully tracks bass guitars, synthesizers, or any device sending a standard 1/4-inch output.
• Flexible Dial Layout: Employs an integrated dual-concentric Level/Blend knob to precisely dial in dry and wet audio balance alongside individual Tone and Colour parameters.
• Built-In Effects Loop: Features dedicated Send/Return jacks so you can chain your favorite overdrive, distortion, delay, or chorus pedals exclusively into the affected sound path.
