1988/89 Kramer Baretta 1
Very Original Kramer Baretta 1 with the killer claw inlay neck. This guitar is setup almost flawlessly with very low action, and a floating Floyd Rose tremolo that's dialed in perfectly and ready to go. Original pickup, hardware, and hard shell case. I believe the input jack and pot were swapped out at some time which is very common with a guitar this age anyway. NOTE: This guitar is not pictured with the tremolo cavity backplate but it will be included. Truss rod functions as it should, has an R2 Nut, and the frets have plenty of life left in them. This is a very player grade guitar and you can tell it's been played and enjoyed for many years. So much so, it's got a few battle scars over the years. Most notably in the neck. The finish on the back of the neck has some very smooth, discolored, weathered spots. Nothing that doesn't make it less playable, if anything more playable because she's broken in perfectly. Some discoloring/ fading on the neckplate as well from the years of playing. Few scratches/ chip at the very tip of the headstock and face of the headstock. On the back of the headstock there is also a hairline crack that runs through one of the nut mounting holes. This has been on the headstock for several years prior to my ownership and doesn't seem to be weak, but has been something I've kept an eye on. Holds tune perfectly fine, you don't feel any lip or groove by it, and it doesn't show on the face of the headstock. It's for sure not entirely through, but is a weak point unfortunately. THAT is the worst of it. The only other minor imperfection outside of some minor finish scratches that are hard to even photograph, is a minor paint chip on the arm scarf of the body. If you pick at it, it will chip more, so it's something to be mindful of. It isn't horrible, and maybe a little touch of clear coat will help smooth it out and hold it in place, but I still play it as is and it hasn't gotten any worse so, it's more-or-less owner preference.
This is another guitar I have listed that I'm not in any rush in selling and still very much enjoy having in my collection and playing regularly. However, I'm am slowly starting to let go of some of my guitar collection to try and make way for some of life's other joy's outside of guitar collecting and have to start somewhere. If you're looking for a killer (and I mean KILLER) player grade guitar that checks a lot of box's for a vintage Baretta, here's a solid one!
