For Sale - Charvel DC-1FR Electric Guitar - CUSTOMIZED & UPGRADED !

Finish is Gloss Black, Abalone and Black Binding and trim throughout and features a neck thru Mahogany Body and Neck, and an upgraded Floyd Rose Tremolo system.

The design and build is incredible, it has one of the most comfortable neck profiles I've ever played in over 3 decades! It reminds me of a slightly thinner smoother EVH Wolfgang neck which makes sense as EVH guitars are a Fender/Jackson/Charvel production.

It's kind of like a cross between PRS Vela or Mira in body shape meets a Les Paul because of the archtop body and neck thru design.

Tone wise it is rock n roll! Upgraded from active to passive black humbuckers from a Starcaster semi hollow guitar.

They are something like a hot rod PAF type similar to a JB set but cleaner.

Bridge pickup - 16.37k

Neck Pickup - 12.22k

It cleans up very well with the custom spec treble bleed I had made for it, it's a workhorse of a guitar, so many tones and a joy to play!

Overall the guitar is amazing!

It has been upgraded with full size 500K CTS Volume and Tone Pots. and has a .022 Orange Drop Tone Capacitor and Treble Bleed King custom spec made for me, treble bleed on Volume.

Hardware has been upgraded - Floyd Rose new tighter arm collet and FU-Tone Red Titanium saddle inserts. The tremolo system I believe is a Gotoh type Floyd Rose only because the saddles match the 12-16" compound radius fingerboard better than any FR system I've used with that radius. I usually have to shim the saddles, but not on this one.

The block is a nickel plated brass I believe 36mm block, and that points to it also being Gotoh made. It's alot better than a Special or 1000 series thats for sure, hard as an Original series FR! All hardware is a black nickel/cosmo type finish.

I also put MXR/EVH type knobs on it.

The body and neck are bound with black gray binding and features abalone inlays and top binding! Bling bling!

The guitar is in great shape, but has usual wear, some scratches and dings and scuffs as all used black guitars that are over a decade old do, but it is in great working, playing order.

I also shield painted all cavities with military grade shielding paint and wired to ground, it's a silent beast now!

Springs were upgraded to black Floyd Rose Silent Springs, and the claw is a Brass Floyd Rose Claw and with brass screws as well!

I am also throwing in the black Dimarzio Cliplock strap installed on it!

I also upgraded the 3 way toggle switch for a Switchcraft with black tip

Battery compartment is now unused and is there if you ever decide to go back to Active pickups it will hold a 9V battery.

Needless to say I really do love this guitar, but I need to sell at this time. This guitar has all the appointments of a guitar worth many times what it was. It's a shame Charvel discontinued these guitars-they really were epic!

It was also professionally buffed out and shined up for a better finish appearance than was shipped from the factory...it's just nuts I am selling this after all I've done to it!
