ESP Edwards E-KV-98 King V - Black - VERY GOOD condition

Made in Japan, the Edwards E-KV-98 King V in Black. A Japanese-built King V that combines classic styling with the high level of craftsmanship Edwards is known for, making it an excellent choice for rock and metal players alike.

The guitar is in very good condition and shows normal signs of use consistent with its age. There are several typical chips and dents on the tips of the wings, along with some scratches from regular playing. There is also an area of missing lacquer near the first fret. The neck itself is not damaged—this is purely a cosmetic finish imperfection and does not affect playability.

The E-KV-98 features a mahogany body, set mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. The 24.75" scale length and comfortable neck profile provide excellent sustain and a familiar playing feel, while the King V body offers unrestricted access to the upper frets.

This example has been upgraded with a genuine set of Seymour Duncan Blackouts. These active pickups deliver powerful output, tight low end, excellent clarity, and outstanding note definition under high gain, making the guitar particularly well suited for modern metal while still offering articulate clean tones.

Additional features include a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece, Gotoh tuners, black hardware, and a straightforward control layout with two volume controls, master tone, and a 3-way pickup selector, providing reliable performance and excellent tuning stability.

The Edwards King V series has become increasingly difficult to find outside Japan. Combining quality Japanese construction with the upgraded Seymour Duncan Blackouts, this is a serious player's instrument that offers excellent value compared to similar ESP models.
