The Gibson 5-string resonator banjo gRB-250h has arrived. Based on its specifications and other details, it is believed to have been manufactured in the late 1960s.
This 5-string model features a mahogany neck and mahogany resonator, along with a thin rim approximately 1/2 inch thick, and a rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with a flat-head tone ring, allowing you to enjoy a powerful, clear sound.
With details emblematic of the RB-250?such as the bowtie inlay and the gMASTERTONEh inlay on the top fret?this instrument possesses the distinctive character and presence unique to vintage Gibson instruments.

There are significant signs of wear and damage throughout the instrument.
The tuning pegs for the 2nd and 3rd strings have been replaced with key tuners.
A slide capo is attached.
The flange is warped, and the hole for the hook has been slightly enlarged. The rimfs side shows deformation caused by headstock tension, paint peeling, and partial cracks on the outer rim and side.
There is a chip in one spot on the decorative portion of the flange near the tailpiece. A brass hoop has been inserted between the tone ring and the rim, causing the tone ring to lift slightly.
There are gaps caused by shrinkage in the binding along the resonatorfs edge and in the ring-shaped cell on the back.
The truss rod is completely loose; the neck currently exhibits backward bowing and twisting, and there is slight buzzing near the 5th fret. Overall, the instrument shows significant signs of wear.
The included old hard case has tape applied to repair damage, and the handle is missing and has been replaced with a makeshift one.
