Selling a Tascam Portastudio 424 Mk lll.
The unit is in good condition and functions properly.
I've included a test video below showing functionality. I recorded drums on the 4 tape tracks using the built in Dolby noise reduction. The audio in the video is direct from the L/R Line Out RCA jacks (I crossfade camera audio to Line Out audio once the drum track starts, then back to camera audio at the end).
I also tested all other outputs (all four tape direct outs and the L/R monitor out) and all function properly.
The unit has a few minor scuffs from normal wear and tear and one chip on the underside (see pics).
I recently cleaned all of the pots, lubed the faders, and cleaned all connections with contact cleaner.
The transport (erase head, tape head, pinch roller, capstan) was recently cleaned and is in great condition (see pics).
