This is a very rare version of this model, and I see it around noted as both a Corvette and a Clipper. It's a 16" fully hollow electric archtop with a fabulous ivory and grey mist finish, which is in just about perfect shape, and overall it's in extraordinary all-original condition.

Beyond the coolness factor, you have to talk about the tone with these. The DeArmond Dynasonic pickup is just so musical, and Folkway did the mod of the tone knob, to take it from this odd Gretsch setup to a standard deal that works like you expect, and let's you pull the amazing tone from that pickup.

There's a bit of binding rot, but it isn't progressing, and you can see it in the pics. The original bridge is glued to the top, but thank goodness in just the right place, so it intonates right. Frets are original and don't show a lot of wear, and the fretboard is gorgeous. 24.75" scale, 1 5/8" nut, D to C carve on the neck, which is really comfortable.

Original hardshell case.
