This Micro-Frets Calibra is in the shop on consignment. For the uninitiated, Micro-Frets was founded in 1967 in Maryland by Ralph Jones and featured a number of innovative design elements. Among those innovations, the two-piece body construction and the adjustable nut are two of the more radical and interesting aspects of the guitar's design. Pickups are a Bill Lawrence design.
For those looking, there is an informative Vintage Guitar Magazine article on the Micro-Frets instruments.
This one is stamped with the serial number 2862. That likely puts it in the 1971 timeframe. We are rating it "Excellent," though it does show some marks from age with some largely insignificant dings and scratches shown in the pictures. It is freshly set up by our luthier Logan Mask and feels superb.
This one comes with the pictured hard shell case. We are selling it as-is. Local pickup is an option. It's a great, cool guitar.
