Beautiful maple neck with a generous piece of rosewood fingerboard. Maple is not so fragile as mahogany and the neck is therefore less prone for neck breakage. In addition, the neck feels nice to play compared to a traditional varnished mahogany neck. The guitar has had a makeover where everything has been upgraded due to various weaknesses where Gibson cut to save money on this model. The original bridge, for example, was bulky and prevented low action as it bottomed out against the body. In addition, it was so tight against the bridge pickup ring so if a string broke, all strings had to be slackened to make room to change the broken one by pulling the bridge back from the posts. With the upgraded bridge, there is nice distance and adjustment options in all directions.
* ABM 3024na bridge that is milled from 1 piece of aluminum. Aluminum saddles.
* Monty's Bethnal Green PAF Humbucker neck pickup from Monty's in London. Unpotted, alnico II. Beautiful pickup with raw nickel cover.
* Gibson 57 Classic bridge pickup alnico II. (Not 57 classic +). This one is potted which is more practical in the bridge position with more gain and has a great balance with the neck pickup in terms of output. Middle position is out of phase. Nasal and creamy, but still with fullness and authority. Doesn't sound thin and flimsy like many out of phase configurations tend to be.
* Mojo Tone volume and tone potmeters that are matched in Ω (between 500 & 550k). These are wired in 50 style which allows you to maintain clarity at low volumes without it getting dark and muddy. Many tonal possibilities by combining just the volume and tone control.
* Tropical Fish tone cap. 0,022uf.
* Switchcraft 3 way, and 4 point Pure Tone jack connector.
* Ratio tuning machines from Graph Tech Model # 3424-N0 (12:1 to 39:1)
* Pickguard and pickup rings in satin aluminium that have been copied to size from the original ones in plastic.
* Volume and tone control knobs in stainless steel that feels lovely to turn.
* Truss rod cover in aluminium (anodized black with polished edge)
* Tektoid nut has been replaced with a nut in brass. Made in Japan quality material that came as 1 large piece of metal and is adjusted to this guitar by professional technician/luthier.
* Hardcase.
Holds tuning incredibly well. No neck dive. Frets are good as new.
