This classic vintage hollowbody just came off the bench here at Ypsi Guitars, where it received a comprehensive cleaning, inspection, and full pro setup. It plays exceptionally smoothly across the entire neck and delivers all the chime, warmth, and snappy dynamic response you expect from a great '70s Gretsch.

Condition: Shows tasteful vintage aging, but no checking. Some very subtle honest play wear consistent with its age, but no structural damage or functional issues. Spots where the binding is discolored. Light pick scratches between the pickups. a few nicks on the edge of the headstock. A small knick on the side of the guitar. And a small blemish on the underside of the pickguard.
Electronics and Hardware: All the components of this guitar appear to be original.
Setup
This guitar was professionally setup by Nate at Ypsi Guitars. Here are the details....
- The original frets were inspected, cleaned, and polished.
- The fretboard was cleaned and treated.
- Body was cleaned.
- All hardware was tightened.
- Bigsby was inspected and lubricated.
- Tuners, nut slots, and saddles were lubricated.
- Guitar was restrung with Ernie Ball 11-48 Power Slinky strings. Strings were streteched, but may require more play time before they fully settle and hold pitch.
- Neck relief was properly set
- Action was adjusted to 4.5/64" on the bass side and 4/64" on the treble side.
- Intonation was properly set.
- Every string was played on ever fret to ensure proper playability
- Electronics were verified as functional
