The Gibson L-7-P debuted in 1948. The "P" stands for "Premier" (Gibson's term for a guitar with a "cutaway"). This 1949 example is from the second year of production. In 1950 the model designation was changed to L-7C for "cutaway." Often called the "working man's" L5, this L-7-P is all original, except for the pickguard and case handle, and is in very good condition for its age. A few nicks here and there and weather checking throughout. Certain areas have slight binding shrinkage and slight separation.
All-in-all a very solid guitar. And, it plays and sounds fantastic!
