Martin D-12-35 1968
Up for sale is a beautiful 1968 Martin D-12-35. If you’re looking at this, you probably already know how special these 12-fret slope-shoulder dreadnoughts are—huge, booming low end with that beautiful 60s Martin chime.
The best part about this one is that the heavy lifting maintenance is already done. It recently had a neck reset, the bridge was cleanly reglued, and the pickguard was replaced (as almost all late-60s Martins need eventually). Action is right where it should be, plays great all the way up the neck, and it’s completely ready to go with no work needed on your end.
Cosmetically, I’d call it solid Very Good condition. It’s got some light lacquer checking, along with a few honest bumps and bruises from use over the years, but nothing out of the ordinary for a 50+ year old instrument. Just genuine player wear and great vintage mojo. No structural issues or hidden cracks.
What’s included:
Original hard shell case (showing some exterior wear from the years, but all latches work as they should)
Receipt detailing the recent repair work (neck reset, bridge reglue, pickguard replacement)
It’ll be packed extremely well and shipped fully insured. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions or want to see specific photos/measurements. Thanks for looking!
