Up for sale is my 2020 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition ’57 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic in Faded 2-Color Sunburst COA Chris Fleming. This is an exceptionally lightweight example, weighing only 6.96 lbs on my scale. I got the guitar used from Wildwood, and they listed the weight as 6.5lbs. I went and tried out the guitar and fell in love. This was my holy grail I’d searched years for, a tobacco burst custom shop sub 7lbs, as close to 6lbs as I could get it. However, due to nerve issues weight is the most important thing. In the moment playing it, didn’t realize it felt a little heavier, and with the excitement didn’t pay enough attention. As time went on it felt heavier than 6.5lbs, and then I weighted It and realized it was, which sadly it’s just too heavy for me And I was beyond the point to maybe return it to Wildwood due to the weight discrepancy. Thus, it’s been sitting in the case forever. I’d Rather it go to a great home where it gets the love it should!!!!!! I don’t want to let it go, but it’s time for it to have a new home.
The guitar is in excellent overall condition with only light fret wear from normal use. The frets have plenty of life remaining and play cleanly across the neck. The factory Journeyman Relic finish has naturally blended with the light playwear over time.
It includes the original tweed Custom Shop case, Certificate of Authenticity, strap, and all original case candy. Prefer local pickup in Colorado, or I can meet someone half way. I’m in northern Colorado. Or close states like Wyoming etc. Kept in smoke free home, with temp and humidity controlled room. Please note set up my change if leaving the state so new set up might be needed once adjusted to your environment. Listed below are specs I could come up with about the guitar.
