Possibly best bass we've had here, it plays and sounds better than all JB we've had here

I believe this baby is all original except middle pot looks like solder joint was perhaps retouched

i'm asked if i'm sure it's original finish, and we believe it is, but like i said provided all pics for you to inspect as well. It is a SPECIAL bass and we do not know for what reason that stamp os there.
Finish is 100 percent Poly as fender used as early as 68. Some poly finish is pushed into a few holes (seen in pics) not covering holes like a refin. But only in a few places, most screw holes show all signs of cracked Poly. To the best of my knowledge there is too much consistency with an original finish to call this a refin.
