For sale is a 1973 Gibson RB-250 Mastertone 5-string banjo, serial number 73099009. This is a well-preserved, and to my knowledge, all original American-made Gibson banjo that has been carefully owned and stored. I am not the original owner, so the description is based on my ownership and inspection of the instrument.

Based on the serial number and construction, this banjo dates to 1973. It features the original walnut neck and resonator, Flying Eagle fingerboard inlays, double-cut peghead, tube-and-plate flange, black-painted multi-ply rim, and weighs approximately 11.4 pounds.

The banjo has not been modified and presents as an honest vintage instrument with normal cosmetic wear expected for its age. It has been stored in its case when not in use.

Included is the original Gibson hard-shell case. The exterior is in good vintage condition. The plush interior shows some wear from age and use, and the handle has cosmetic wear but retains the original metal reinforcement and remains very functional. All latches are present and working.
